Daily, our surroundings bore the burden of plastic waste. A resolute stance emerged, urging a rejection of plastic to safeguard the planet for posterity. The PORIBES FOUNDATION embraced this imperative, dedicating itself to eradicating plastic pollution and bequeathing an untainted world to successors. Through digital channels and hands-on endeavors, the foundation diligently disseminated awareness, rallying people to stand against plastic's menace. The movement gained momentum, fostering a collective determination to restore and preserve the planet.

Stood with the workers of Brick Factory (Sustha Jeeban)

Health and hygiene posed significant challenges for Brick Factory workers. To address this, we conducted various awareness programs to educate them about best practices. Our efforts extended to disinfecting their living areas using bleaching powder and phenyl and also to provide free education to their children. Moreover, a continuous supply of sanitary pads proved invaluable, particularly for female workers, enhancing their overall hygiene and quality of life. Our commitment to these initiatives aimed to create a healthier and safer environment for all workers involved.

Prevention of Youth Suicidal Ideation (Digital Campaign)

This digital awareness program on Mental Health is a crucial initiative aimed at combating the rising instances of suicidal ideation among young individuals. By involving renowned psychiatrists and psychologists, the program ensures credible and expert guidance. Through webinars, online workshops, and interactive sessions, the youth can access valuable information about mental well-being, coping mechanisms, and seeking help. This initiative not only imparts knowledge but also promotes an open dialogue about mental health challenges. By leveraging the digital platform, the program maximizes its reach and impact, fostering a supportive environment for the youth to address their mental health concerns effectively.

Sustha Jeeban

In the heartwarming Muktadhara Orphan School Project, our focus extended beyond just awareness. We engaged the children with interactive workshops, instilling a deep understanding of Environment, Hygiene, and Covid-19. To brighten their days, we gifted new clothes and delightful chocolates. A vibrant cultural extravaganza and a nourishing lunch further bonded us. Through enlightening sessions, we empowered the children with knowledge about cleanliness and health. The gift of plants not only connected them with nature but also nurtured a sense of responsibility. Sensitively, we supported teenage girls with sanitary pads, uplifting them towards a more dignified life.

Poribesh Bachao

In the aftermath of the devastating 'Yash' Cyclone, multiple relief organizations stepped in to aid the affected regions, providing assistance including plastic materials. Tragically, these plastics found their way into the Durgaduani River in Sundarbans, West Bengal, leading to severe pollution. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, a collaborative effort was launched, spearheaded by the Block Development Officer (B.D.O) of Gosaba and the Baruipur IC. This joint endeavor successfully executed the removal of the plastic waste from the river, demonstrating the power of community and administrative coordination in tackling environmental crises and safeguarding precious ecosystems like the Sundarbans.

Yash Relief

The Yash Cyclone's devastating impact brought life in the Sundarbans to a standstill. The resilience of the affected people of PatharProtima in Sundarbans, West Bengal, was evident as we joined hands to aid them. Our efforts focused on providing essential supplies and support to help restore their normalcy. As the community faced the aftermath of the cyclone, our collective actions aimed to alleviate their struggles and assist in rebuilding their lives. This compassionate response showcased unity and compassion in the face of adversity, reflecting the strength of human spirit and the power of solidarity.
