The organization's name, Poribes, encompasses not only the environment but also all aspects connected to it. Originally conceived by a group of medical professionals, Poribes emerged during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic as an initiative to aid its victims. Initially, our volunteers provided essential supplies such as oxygen, medicine, and other emergency assistance.
As the medical crisis unfolded, the devastating impact of the coastal storm, named 'Yash,' wreaked havoc on the coastal regions, displacing countless residents. Responding to this new challenge, we extended our support to the victims of Yash. Realizing the need for a coordinated effort, we decided to formalize our actions and establish an organization dedicated to helping people in crisis. Thus, Poribes (Progressive Organization for Rehabilitation of Inhabitants Based on Environmental Sustainability) came into existence on 11/6/21. We owe our volunteers a debt of gratitude for giving our environmentally friendly ideals a solid foundation for implementation.
